Concert: The Slocan Ramblers

  • 14 May 2018
  • 7:00 PM - 10:00 PM
  • The Anza Club - 3 West 8th Avenue, Vancouver

Doors at 7:00

Show Starts at 7:30 with Stardust String Band

Stardust Stringband occupies that sweet spot found somewhere between the vibrant energy of old-time music, the straight-shooting delivery of golden-era country, and the lonesome harmony stacks of bluegrass. Born in Vancouver's late-night bluegrass scene, the band is made up of S. Clements (fiddle), J.R. Proctor (banjo/guitar), D. Kovacek (mandolin/guitar) and B. Clarke (keeping it steady on the bull fiddle).

Slocan Ramblers at 8:00

The Slocan Ramblers are Canada’s young bluegrass band to watch. Rooted in the tradition, fearlessly creative, and possessing a bold, dynamic sound- these 2015 Edmonton Folk Fest Emerging Artist Award recipients have quickly become a leading light of Canada’s roots music scene, built on their reputation for energetic live shows, impeccable musicianship and their uncanny ability to convert anyone within earshot into a lifelong fan.
