Pacific Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Society
PBOMS events are returning to the ANZA club! After 18 months away due to COVID, we are returning to our beloved home base at 3 East 8th Ave. in Vancouver (corner of 8th and Ontario). The Board has approved a return to in-person events, including Slow-Pitch Jams, Old-Time jams, Bluegrass jams and concerts.
The following protocols will be in place at all events:
- face coverings must be worn at all times (including singing), except when actively consuming food or beverages
- proof of full vaccination must be shown at the door, with ID
- entry must be through the main floor doors (not through the lower pub entrance).
- notices of the rules above will be clearly visible upon entry, and communicated to attendees at the door
Thank you for respecting these rules - they are designed to keep everyone safe so that events can continue.
We look forward to seeing you soon!
The PBOMS Board of Directors
Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, the Pacific Bluegrass and Old-Time Music Society is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the promotion of Bluegrass and Old Time music through regular jams, workshops, concerts, and other special events. To keep updated on Pacific Bluegrass activities, please refer to the calendar of events section of this website or follow us on Facebook.
Composed of approximately 400 members and operated on a volunteer basis, Pacific Bluegrass always welcomes new members, as well as people who are just curious or just want to listen. If you play an instrument and are interested in Bluegrass or Old Time Music, we invite you to join us.
On the first Monday of each month we host the fabulous Sue Malcolm's Slow Pitch Jam. Various types of open jams and other events (Concerts, Open Mics, Workshops) are held on other Mondays.
